DIRECTIVE 89/686/ECC – PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
I guanti da lavoro rientrano nella categoria dei Dispositivi di Protezione Individuale (DPI), ovvero tutte quelle attrezzature che sono tenuti ad indossare coloro che svolgono mansioni esposte a rischi.
Il datore di lavoro è obbligato a “garantire la sicurezza e la salute delle maestranze sul posto di lavoro” e a vincolarlo a quest’obbligo è la direttiva quadro (89/391 CEE), integrata da ulteriori cinque direttive riguardanti l’uso dei guanti di protezione.
In base al livello di rischio a cui i lavoratori sono esposti, esistono diverse categorie di guanti da lavoro.
The work gloves be part into the category of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): all the equipment that is required to wear those who works exposed to risks. The employer is obliged to “ensure the safety and health of workers in the workplace” and to bind he to this law is the framework directive (89/391 EEC), integrated by a further five directives concerning the use of protection. Depending on the level of risk to which workers are exposed, there are different categories of work gloves.

CATEGORIA III rischi irreversibili o mortali / CATEGORY III for irreversibile or mortal risk

EN 388:2016 REVISIONE PROTEZIONE TAGLIO/EN 388:2016 CUT PROTECTION REVISION
Dal 2003, la resistenza al taglio di un campione preso dal guanto veniva misurata tramite una lama circolare rotante, che vi si muoveva sopra in direzioni alternate e con forza costante, fino a tagliare completamente il materiale. Dal 2016, con l’introduzione del l’ISO Cut Test, si usa una lama piatta, che si muove ad una distanza prefissata, soggetta a forza variabile. Esso è stato concepito per simulare meglio un taglio accidentale o una squarciatura causata da un oggetto accuminato.
From 2003, the shear strength of a sample taken from the glove is measured by a rotating circular blade, which moves over it in alternating directions and with constant force, until the material is completely cut. From the 2016, with the introduction of the ISO Cut Test, it is used a flat blade, which moves at a predetermined distance, subject to variable force. It was designed to better simulate an accidental cut or slash caused by a sharp object. Il livello di prestazione X significa “non testato” o “non applicabile”. The performance level X means “not tested” or “not applicable”.
